About The Position

Bird Johnson has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Administrator in our Wrentham, MA facility. This role serves as the primary point of contact for managing and optimizing the ERP system within the warehouse environment. The Warehouse Administrator will oversee inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, stock attribution, and shipping processes, ensuring seamless integration between warehouse operations and the ERP system. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, have advanced ERP expertise, and possess strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field, with a focus on ERP system management.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., InforVisual, SAP, etc.) with a proven ability to manage system workflows and data integrity.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with shipping and logistics processes, including carrier coordination and export compliance.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift components weighing up to 50 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the ERP system expert for the warehouse, including troubleshooting, user training, and implementing process improvements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate data entry in the ERP system for inventory, stock movements, order processing, and shipping.
  • Attribute stock to sales orders, ensuring inventory is properly allocated and ready for fulfillment.
  • Generate and release pick lists, work orders, and shipping documents directly from the ERP system.
  • Monitor and update stock levels in real-time to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Process orders through the ERP system, ensuring all steps from order placement to shipment are accurately completed.
  • Collaborate with production, scheduling, and shipping teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Oversee shipping processes, including creating packing slips, bills of lading (BOL), and shipping labels through the ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with company shipping policies and export regulations, including ITAR/EAR requirements.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits in collaboration with the inventory team, ensuring consistency between physical stock and ERP records.
  • Provide training and support to warehouse staff on ERP usage and best practices.
  • Identify inefficiencies in ERP workflows and recommend or implement process improvements.
  • Generate and analyze ERP reports to track key warehouse metrics such as inventory levels, order accuracy, and shipping performance.
  • Maintain consumables inventory for shipping (e.g., boxes, labels, packaging materials) and ensure system updates for reordering.
  • Act as a liaison between the warehouse team and IT to resolve any ERP-related technical issues.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
