Requirements

  • 3+ years of wholesale or outside sales experience in wine, craft beer, or premium beverages, with a demonstrated ability to scale distribution.
  • Deep knowledge of wine and beer markets, with a passion for emerging trends.
  • Natural relationship builder who thrives on forging meaningful partnerships.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to create and execute winning sales strategies.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Hubspot preferred) and sales analytics.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who's ready to hustle in a fast-paced industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively both within Virginia and nationally, and to work evenings or weekends when needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods during events.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pitch, and secure wholesale accounts with premier distributors, boutique hotels, luxury retailers, and restaurants across Virginia and beyond.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with wholesale partners through exceptional service, consistent communication, and on-site support.
  • Educate partners and consumers on the artistry and passion behind BOW's wines and beers.
  • Develop innovative wholesale approaches to exceed revenue targets, break into new markets, and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Represent BOW at national and regional tastings, trade shows, festivals, and curated events to showcase products.
  • Collaborate with winemaking, brewing, and marketing teams to align product strategies with market trends.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze sales trends, and provide actionable insights to the Director of Wholesale and Outside Sales.
  • Develop and oversee partnerships for off-site tastings, pairing dinners, and exclusive events to grow exposure.
