In this role, the processor manages a multi-state pipeline, overseeing the status of loans and maintaining communication with various stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and following up with borrowers and vendors regarding outstanding items, as well as gathering necessary documentation to facilitate the loan process. The processor must communicate effectively with management if any issues arise that could impact timelines or if errors need to be resolved. Additionally, any potential fraud cases must be escalated to the Risk Management Leadership Team for further investigation. The Wholesale Mortgage Processor also assists internal business partners in dealing with non-responsive clients and conflict resolution, ensuring that all parties are kept informed about the status of loans. Data entry is a critical component of this role, as the processor must update internal systems and loan files with notes regarding all actions that affect the loan process. Compliance is paramount, and the processor reviews title reports, payoffs, appraisals, income documents, and hazard insurance to ensure that all standards are met. The position also involves coordinating the scheduling of loan closings and attending regular pipeline meetings and training updates. It is important to note that this position is classified as a non-loan originator role, meaning that the processor will not engage in activities such as communicating directly with borrowers about credit qualifications or loan terms.
