About The Position

The position involves performing duties related to the assessment of client credit risks as well as industry risks and trends, under the direct supervision of a manager or more senior Credit Risk Analyst. The role includes participating in focused training to increase knowledge and understanding of Credit Risk Analyst functions, engaging in day-to-day operations and projects, and completing assigned training courses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office software products including advanced Excel modeling skills.

Nice To Haves

• Some banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to the assessment of client credit risks and industry risks and trends under supervision.
• Assist Credit Risk Managers in monitoring the receipt of current and adequate financial statements.
• Complete spreads and forward statements for spreading, ensuring upload to internal databases/systems.
• Prepare analyses of traditional commercial lending, commercial real estate lending, leveraged financing, and cash flow lending as applicable.
• Ensure all transactions and processing comply with regulatory and company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare documentation for loan discussion, approval, and committee presentation purposes at the direction of Credit Risk Managers and the Director, Credit Risk Analysts.
• Support bankers with assigned client accounts and large/complex client accounts.
• Work with bankers and Credit Risk Managers throughout the cross-selling process by identifying credit-worthy prospects.
• Complete a variety of developmental assignments under the direction of more senior-level staff.
• Help drive and support innovation and continuous efficiency improvements.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Be aware of risk within their functional area and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate authority.
