About The Position

The Whole Body Department Team Trainer at Whole Foods Market is responsible for supporting the training and development of new team members within the Whole Body department. This role focuses on enhancing engagement, productivity, and retention by delivering quality training programs and ensuring compliance with operational standards. The Team Trainer collaborates with team leadership and other trainers to facilitate a smooth onboarding process and ongoing training for team members, while also acting as a role model for customer service and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • 6 months of Whole Foods Market experience (or equivalent retail training experience).
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors.
  • Effective time management and organization skills.
  • Passion for high-quality foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market.

Nice To Haves

  • General computer skills and basic knowledge of software applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Working knowledge of Whole Foods Market's learning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure new and ongoing store and team training programs are successfully delivered and completed.
  • Coordinate with Team Leaders and the Store Trainer to schedule New Member training during their first four shifts.
  • Facilitate team-specific operational training for Team Members, including team Operational Learning Pathways and program rollouts.
  • Attend Team Trainer meetings as scheduled.
  • Act as a role model for food safety, sanitation procedures, and occupational safety.
  • Train all Team Members on customer service standards and provide timely feedback.
  • Train all Team Members on new products, their differentiation, sales tactics, and department placement.
  • Complete the Team Trainer Operational Learning Pathway, Team Trainer Certification, and other assigned training.
  • Organize, track, report, and maintain accurate training records using Whole Foods Market's learning systems.
