About The Position
Tech Defenders is a fast-growing, environmentally-conscious technology company that specializes in recovering, reviving, and reusing technology. We are seeking a White Glove Fulfillment Specialist / Driver who will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to our partners in procurement. This position is a dual role, where you will split your time between visiting client sites for white glove pickups of used devices and performing general warehouse duties. The primary focus of this role is to efficiently pick up and pack fleets of used electronic devices from our strategic partners' worksites and ship them back to our Operations facility in Grand Rapids for processing. As a White Glove Fulfillment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding customer relations by consistently being on time and acting in a courteous and professional manner. You will be required to operate and maintain a pallet jack and wrapper, follow quality service standards, and comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations. Additionally, you will contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures, utilize an ERP system for inventory management, and ensure that all equipment and products are safely loaded and securely transported. This role also involves understanding and using GPS navigation systems for accurate route planning, maintaining vehicle check records, and displaying competencies in DOT compliance. You will need to be comfortable driving in varied weather conditions and will receive training to get certified in 49 CFR once you join the team. The position requires physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and climbing, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds during loading and unloading tasks. Overtime and overnight runs may be necessary, and air travel to client sites within the continental US will occur regularly.
