The White Glove Installation Specialist is part of a new and growing team that is responsible for delivering, assembling, installing, servicing and repairing medical simulation and training equipment onsite at customer locations. This position will be based out of our Monaca, PA Distribution Center with frequent overnight travel to customer locations across the U.S. to receive, unload, deliver, stage, assemble, and install equipment, fixtures, and supplies. When not traveling, this role will assist in the Distribution Center with order fulfillment activities. To be successful, this position requires an individual to be very detail-oriented, with the ability to read blueprints and follow assembly instructions, possess professional customer service skills, and be willing to travel for up to a week at a time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
  • Prior experience in assembly required including ability to operate hand and power tools while using a ladder.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Must be dependable and able to work on specified schedules that may include weekends and overnights for installations at customer locations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints and dimensioned diagrams.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate push carts and pallet jacks.
  • High attention to detail regarding product awareness and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to make independent decisions while at customer locations regarding sourcing missing materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with a moving or installation company a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Travels to customer locations across the U.S. (and occasionally to Canada) to deliver and install medical simulation equipment, including but not limited to, hospital beds, headwalls, cabinets, furniture, and curtains.
  • Packages and loads materials for shipping and delivery, including palletizing and hand-loading.
  • Serves as an authorized representative to sign for deliveries at customer locations.
  • Inspects deliveries for accuracy and damages while unloading materials.
  • Uses protective measures on products such as blanket wrapping to prevent facility damage during transport.
  • Builds and assembles equipment according to blueprints and instructions using provided hand and power tools including screw drivers, wrenches, power drills, hammers, stud finders, levels and more.
  • Interacts professionally with customers and site contacts throughout the installation process to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Removes packaging materials and debris after installation.
  • Tracks and reports key performance indicators (i.e., build time, project completion).
  • Reports project outcomes including issues and suggestions for improvements to management.
  • Supports Distribution Center operations, including order fulfillment, during non-travel times.
  • Adheres to all company safety policies and promptly reports safety risks or violations to management.
