About the position

The mission of this position is to perform refurbishing of commercial truck wheels through a series of manual and automated processes. The essential duties include learning and performing the wheel refurbishing process, which involves steam cleaning products to remove foreign materials, shot blasting to eliminate rust and paint, and inspecting products for unsafe conditions. The individual will be responsible for product completion, including approving or disapproving products, painting products with special paint and color for customers, maintaining proper control of inventory to ensure customers receive the correct product, and maintaining tools and related tire accessories. Additionally, the individual must maintain a clean shop area, protect company assets, embrace Purcell’s culture of safety, and perform all jobs in a safe manner. Regular attendance in accordance with the assigned schedule and the ability to perform physical requirements as listed in the job description are also essential.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School.
• Minimum Job-Specific Experience: 1-2 years.
• Driver’s License Required: No.
• Other Job-Specific Licenses or Certifications Required: Tire Industry Association CTS certification, vendor-provided training.
