About The Position

As a warehouse associate, you will select cases and other containers of food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner. Must follow all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any additional duties assigned to best serve the company.

Requirements

Highschool Diploma or GED.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete documents, and answer questions in English.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as needed.
Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages.
Demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Demonstrated proficiency in software and able to use WMS and related software’s.
Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to fifty (50) pounds independently and one hundred (100) pounds with assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
All candidates must pass an extensive background check.

Nice To Haves

Warehouse and/or distribution work related experience a plus.
Experience using a motorized pallet jack preferred.
Motorized pallet jack certified preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.
Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace them with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
Releases of picking orders of the daily planned routes in a timely manner.
Release the order waves and print the labels by route.
Guarantee collection of all customer orders scheduled for delivery.
Cross-departmental collaboration to improve communication and business performance.
Picking orders.
Ensuring correct shipping information is attached and moving completed orders to shipping area
Loading and unloading trucks.
Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights.
Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
Performs general housekeeping duties in work area as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Steel toe or composite closed-toe shoes (protective safety footwear) are required in select business units.
Must be able to meet predictable attendance and punctuality expectations and physical demands of the position complying with Ethnix Group’s policies and performance expectations.
