The Wet Lab Technician, is responsible for mixing and delivering electrolyte solutions per the instruction of Scientists on time and performing benchtop experiments on behalf of the Scientists. Requirements

  • Good knowledge of laboratory environments
  • In-depth laboratory experience in the preparation and testing of materials
  • Good oral and written communication skills – able to clearly summarize experimental findings
  • Computer literate
  • Good knowledge of electrochemical energy storage materials
  • Good knowledge of electrolytes, salts, solvents, and additives
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in related role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare chemical solutions for products and processes following standardized or experimental formulas
  • Carry out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies
  • Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, for example conductivity and pH meters
  • Use computers and perform mathematical calculations for the preparation of solutions and basic data analyses
  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Maintain various databases or logbooks
  • Assist in creating formulas, tests, or experimental proposals
  • Assist in data reporting--informal (pictures, spreadsheets, etc.) and formal (reports, rapid communications, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety procedures of the lab
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice
