About The Position
Liberty Resources is seeking a Residential (IRA) Assistant Program Supervisor to join our dedicated team in East Syracuse, NY. This position plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring they live their fullest lives. The Assistant Supervisor will assist the Program Supervisor in the planning, implementation, and documentation of consumer-valued outcomes as specified in Residential Habilitation Plans, Individualized Service Plans, and Individual Program Outcome Plans (IPOPs). This role involves supervising direct care staff and assuming the responsibilities of the supervisor in their absence, ensuring continuity of client services and high standards of care. In this position, the Assistant Supervisor will develop personalized approaches for each consumer, implement selected goals, and actively participate in service planning in collaboration with the treatment team. The role includes providing instruction, supervision, and attendant care to consumers in their daily living activities, such as toileting, feeding, personal hygiene, dressing, and housekeeping. The Assistant Supervisor will also facilitate peer counseling, provide conflict resolution instruction, and respond effectively to emergency situations, applying SCIP-R and behavior management techniques as necessary. Reporting untoward incidents is also a critical responsibility of this role. The Assistant Supervisor will assist the Program Supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the IRA, ensuring that all staff are effectively supervised and that the highest standards of care are maintained.
