About The Position

Allied Construction Services is seeking a WestCoat Certified Cementitious Waterproofing Foreman to lead field operations for pedestrian deck, balcony, stairwell, and plaza waterproofing projects. This is a leadership role requiring hands-on expertise in WestCoat cementitious and traffic coating systems, strong crew management skills, and the ability to execute projects to manufacturer specifications and commercial-grade quality standards. The ideal candidate understands production efficiency, substrate preparation, detailing, and system integrity—and can run a jobsite independently while maintaining safety, schedule, and quality control.

Requirements

  • Active WestCoat Certification (required)
  • 5+ years of hands-on cementitious waterproofing experience
  • Proven experience running deck and balcony systems
  • Strong knowledge of: Cementitious coatings Traffic coating systems Concrete repair techniques Moisture mitigation basics
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical data sheets
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other manufacturers (Desco, Life Deck, Tremco, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience in commercial and HOA environments
  • Ability to train and develop crew members

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct waterproofing crews (2–6 technicians typical)
  • Coordinate daily production goals and manpower allocation
  • Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company safety standards
  • Conduct daily tailgate meetings
  • Install WestCoat cementitious and traffic coating systems per manufacturer specs
  • Perform substrate inspections (concrete moisture, cracks, slope, spalls)
  • Oversee crack repair, scarification, grinding, shot blasting, and surface prep
  • Install base coats, reinforcing mesh, texture coats, and top coats
  • Ensure proper cure times, thickness compliance, and environmental controls
  • Verify system compatibility and proper detailing at drains, terminations, transitions
  • Document progress using CompanyCam or equivalent software
  • Conduct final walkthroughs and punch list completion
  • Coordinate inspections with manufacturer reps when required
  • Read and interpret plans, specs, and scope of work
  • Communicate material needs and staging requirements
  • Track production against schedule
  • Interface professionally with property managers, GCs, and ownership reps
