About The Position

Essential Functions: Assist in the continuous development of EHS policies and procedures. Communicate safety rules, regulations, laws, and policies to employees effectively to increase understanding and reduce violations. Manage federal drug and alcohol program, to include administering drug screens and coordinating with drug testing facilities. Lead safety meetings, conduct “toolbox talks”, disseminate information both formally and informally. Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics. Conduct risk assessments on current and future scopes of work. Investigate and report on incidents and accidents as well as violations of regulations and Company policies. Ensure crews are utilizing proper PPE provided Regularly (multiple times per week) visit crews on site to ensure quality control and safety. Operate autonomously, to standard, with minimal oversight. Coordinate and communicate with client representatives on audits and observations.

Requirements

  • Safety Management experience within a construction and/or environmental services industry.
  • Must possess working knowledge of OSHA/DOT Regulations.
  • OSHA 10/30.
  • CPR Instructor.
  • Confined Space Competent Person
  • You will not see your “Supervisor” every day. You will be expected to plan and execute tasks daily with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Understand or familiar with Digital platforms for documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Hydro-Excavation Operator experience.
  • 4-year Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent experience.
  • Rail experience preferred
