About The Position

The West Houston Elementary Kids Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the Elementary Kids Ministry at the West Houston Campus. This role focuses on ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of operations for the Elementary, Clubhouse, and Check-In Team, while partnering with various stakeholders to execute the vision and direction of Hope City Kids.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and use scheduling software
  • Extensive experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with a particular emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to think and act independently with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create, analyze, and maintain project budgets

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Kids Pastor to execute current and future vision and direction of Hope City Kids at West Houston
  • Identify, recruit, vet, and develop Kids Dream Team
  • Invest in Kids Dream Team member's spiritual maturity, health, and giftings
  • Partner with Early Childhood Kids Director to complete all Kids areas at the West Houston Campus during LILO
  • Ensure each room in Elementary is covered for the weekend experience
  • Connect with Elementary Coordinators weekly to communicate upcoming curriculum, events, updates, and ensure each classroom is ready for the weekend
  • Distribute weekly curriculum and tools for Elementary Coordinators and Dream Team in a timely manner
  • Coordinate ministry schedules and class assignments for Elementary at West Houston
  • Oversee the distribution of curriculum, forms, brochures, handbooks, and wayouts to volunteers and parents in Elementary
  • Oversee Elementary, Clubhouse, and Check-In Team during the Weekend services and Hope City church wide events
  • Develop and coordinate opportunities to invest in parents and their children
  • Participate in weekly department and one-on-one meetings
  • Work with the appropriate staff to develop and implement all security measures related to the Elementary departments, including volunteer screening and class/building safety
  • Follow policies and procedures for Emergency, Urgent, and/or Mandatory Reporting
  • Respond to pastoral needs and care for children and team members
  • Participate in West Houston annual budget preparation to ensure adequate funds for operation of Elementary
  • Partner with Kids Pastor for accurate curriculum purchases, supplies approval, purchase orders, check requests, receipts, and invoices
  • Execute additional duties as assigned
