About The Position

The Los Angeles Unified School District seeks an outstanding Principal, Elementary to lead the students, staff, and community at West Hollywood Elementary School towards academic success. West Hollywood Elementary serves about 300 students in grades TK-5th grade, including a Resource Specialist program and many enrichment classes funded by the parent booster group. West Hollywood has a student body comprised of 5.6% African American, 9.2% Asian, 17.2% Hispanic, 59.9% White, and 8.1% Other Ethnicities. Approximately 7.12% are English Learners, 7.5% students with disabilities, and over 20% are identified as Gifted and Talented. Some of the students live in the neighborhood while others have enrolled through Open Enrollment. The school is located at 970 North Hammond Street, West Hollywood, CA 90069.

Requirements

  • Eight years of successful full-time public school district certificated service.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in a K-12 program.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an elementary school.
  • Two years of service in a position that required and utilized an administrative credential, such as assistant principal or equivalent position.
  • A valid California teaching credential requiring a Bachelor's degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching.
  • A valid California Administrative Services Credential.
  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
