Wellness Veterinarian - Hillsborough Campus
About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wellness Veterinarian to join our team! In this role, you'll provide top-notch preventative care while having the opportunity to perform occasional surgeries. Our AAHA-accredited Animal Health Center, is a full-service, non-profit veterinary hospital committed to delivering affordable, high-quality care to the public six days a week. As Florida's first non-profit animal hospital to achieve AAHA accreditation, we pride ourselves on meeting the critical need for accessible veterinary services in our community. This position is full-time, with benefits, and requires working a weekend day.
Requirements
- Must possess a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine
- Must possess a valid State of Florida license to practice veterinary medicine and have at least one year of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter.
- Must be personable, able to communicate with and direct staff and work as a member of a team.
- Must be able to life 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- DVM Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
- Has and maintains a Valid and Current State of Florida Veterinarian License
- Computer skills required: Internet Software; (Outlook); and Shelter Luv software (or similar software).
- Ability to walk, climb stairs and ladders, run, stoop, bend, stand, push, pull, move and carry heavy objects.
- Standing for long periods.
- Work in a fast paced and busy environment
