About The Position

Do you enjoy staying organized, working with wellness vendors, and ensuring shelves are full and accurate? Join us as a Wellness Orderer and help maintain strong inventory levels across Supplements, HABA, and Mercantile. In this role, you’ll support purchasing, reconciliation, and merchandising while building productive relationships with vendors and customers.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with vendors, coworkers, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in purchase order creation, invoice reconciliation, and record accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Dependability, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and varied schedules.
  • At least one year of retail experience with exposure to ordering or inventory management required.
  • Experience in purchasing or inventory management required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate department equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory through regular counts, forecasting, and communication with the Category Manager to ensure stock levels meet department needs.
  • Run and analyze movement reports to forecast orders and ensure alignment with budget and departmental goals.
  • Place replenishment and special orders promptly while communicating with customers and vendors to ensure accuracy and excellent service.
  • Collaborate with other Co-op locations to balance stock levels and minimize out-of-stock items.
  • Monitor supplier out-of-stocks and adjust ordering strategies to maintain product availability, including alternative sourcing.
  • Manage credits, damages, and returns in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Maintain accurate purchase orders, reconcile invoices, and commit finalized transactions in the purchase order system to support pricing and inventory integrity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with supplier representatives, vendors, and local business partners.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts and assist with reconciliation processes.
  • Order within established budgets while making use of promotional opportunities and vendor deals to maximize value and margin.
