About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Wellness Nurse Manager for The Barrymore Senior Living community. This role is crucial in providing a home-like environment for both residents and team members, embracing core values to enhance residents' quality of life. The position involves supervising the wellness team, ensuring person-centered care, and leading other departments in the absence of department heads. Arrow Senior Living manages a collection of senior living communities offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care across 34 properties in 6 states, employing nearly 2,200 individuals. The company emphasizes internal promotion and employee appreciation.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing within state of employment.
  • Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Ability to be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Criminally cleared.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hands-on care of memory impaired residents is preferred.
  • Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Superior Supervisor, being in charge of the building in the absence of department heads.
  • Be active in the department, assisting and leading the Wellness team and other departments in ensuring quick, reliable, and person-centered care is provided.
  • Be a Force on the Floor by being available to help with call lights, requests for assistance from the team, and demonstrating a sense of urgency that prioritizes resident needs.
  • Be a Diligent Documenter by completing resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and filing them correctly.
  • Be a Compassionate Caregiver by exemplifying Arrow's core values, ensuring professional, caring interactions that leave residents feeling safe and cared for.
  • Provide direct (hands-on) nursing care, including medication passes as needed.
