The Veterinary Technology Program is hiring a Wellness Coordinator to work with our program. The Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology presents a unique opportunity to train veterinary technicians in a supportive, individualized program that will culminate in pursuing rewarding and fulfilling careers in the profession. In collaboration with program leadership, faculty, and external stakeholders, this individual will work with the Assistant Director to implement a comprehensive wellness program with the overarching goal to engage and empower students, faculty, and staff to thrive in both work and in life. The wellness program will include (but is not limited to) individualized coaching and mentorship support, wellness and communication content within the curriculum, and outcomes assessment. This role will also have teaching responsibilities within the curriculum in the areas of wellness, communication, and the foundational skills to thrive both in life and at work. This individual will need to have an in-depth understanding of the mental health and wellness issues that are currently affecting veterinary professionals, as well as knowledge of and experience with evidence-based strategies that are being used in the field to mitigate the impacts of poor mental health and wellness.
