Requirements

  • Licensed RN or LPN/LVN in good standing with State Licensing Authority.
  • Relevant experience in Assisted Living and Memory Care Settings.
  • Desire and talent to work with a high-functioning, empowered team.
  • Compassion, kindness, and collaboration skills to work with elders and their families.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in learning specified online programs.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and be goal-directed.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues.
  • Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Meet all health requirements as specified by state and/or federal regulations.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation of the Wellness Department, including maintaining standards in elder care services.
  • Supervise and oversee the Wellness Department team, including training and assigning overall duties in accordance with the elders' needs.
  • Meet financial and budgetary guidelines.
  • Uphold state regulations and procedures.
  • Create staffing schedules that meet state guidelines, time off requests, and overtime guidelines.
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures, including the Employer's policies.
  • Direct and coordinate elder service plans from move-in to move-out, completing timely and accurate assessments and evaluations.
  • Lead the Quality Assurance program, trending and tracking, and correcting incidents as required by State Regulators.
  • Perform licensed nurse tasks and medication passes within the scope of practice as allowed by state law.
  • Assist with coordinating care to elders with third-party providers such as therapy, home healthcare, and hospice.
  • Supervise the medication administration and/or assist with the self-administration of medication programs.
  • Act in the absence of the Administrator if necessary.
  • Adhere to and establish financial goals and budgetary guidelines for the Wellness Department.
  • Remain abreast of current State regulations and Nurse Practice Acts and compliance with regulatory processes.
