About The Position

The Wellness Director is responsible for overseeing nursing services within the assisted living facility, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality resident care. This role involves directing nursing personnel, coordinating healthcare services, and providing direct nursing care to residents, while also focusing on staff training and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• BLS Certification
• LPN License
• Mid-level Administrative experience
• Acute care Hospital experience
• Experience in Assisted Living settings

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing services and direct nursing personnel in resident care.
• Interpret policies and regulations to nursing staff and ensure compliance.
• Analyze and evaluate nursing services to ensure quality resident care.
• Oversee resident healthcare needs and medication delivery systems.
• Coordinate in-service training for the Wellness department.
• Provide nursing services including wellness counseling and health promotion.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws regarding assisted living and nursing regulations.
• Coordinate care and services for residents, including assessments and service plan development.
• Conduct staff training and education on nursing services.
• Maintain proper documentation and provide RN delegation as per regulations.
• Be available after-hours for resident care issues and conduct offsite assessments when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist residents who no longer require services and conduct quality assurance audits.
• Prepare staffing schedules and provide weekly reports to the General Manager.
