Currently we have an opportunity available for an enthusiastic healthcare professional to be the Director of Nursing (Wellness Director) to lead the nursing/caregiving department for our Memory Care community in Tulsa. Experience working with seniors - experience working in an assisted living community will be prioritized over home health or hospice. Experience with staffing and management of nurses and unlicensed care staff required. Preference will be given to nurses who have worked in a long term care/skilled nursing environment. QualificationsJob Qualifications: Licensed Nurse with a minimum of at least three to five years experience. Assisted living experience preferred, but will consider in-home health or geriatric nursing. A minimum of two to four years of supervisory experience required. Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements. Demonstrates effective supervisory skills. Ability to communicate and work with all levels of IRIS Team Members and IRIS Department Managers effectively. Ability to recognize and communicate problems appropriately. Willingness to adhere to assisted living principles in provided services. Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately. Ability to demonstrate effective training skills. Ability to utilize and apply basic management principles. Ability to recognize and communicate problems effectively. Ability to relate to the public, Residents, families, staff, other professionals appropriately. Ability to communicate efficiently in English, verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to adhere to and communicate policy and procedures and state regulatory standards. Ability to work flexible hours to meet requirements of the job and to be on call. Ability/willingness to improve skills of self and staff; to be active professionally. Ability to perform assigned tasks in neat, thorough, and timely manner. Ability to transfer residents. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; 35 pounds regularly. Routinely requires pushing, pulling, bending, walking, reaching, and stooping. Maintains appropriate and required nursing license. Maintains car in good working order, current driver’s license in good standing, and auto insurance meeting company minimums is current. Working knowledge of all government regulations impacting IRIS. Provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies. Ability to organize their time, follow-up with the ability to perform job tasks efficiently. Ability to teach/train others effectively. Demonstrates as a team player with a positive attitude.
