About The Position

The University of Minnesota's Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Wellness Consultant to develop and launch wellness-based teachings for faculty and learners. This role involves co-designing wellness programs and delivering health coaching and education, particularly through the Integrative Psychiatry Course. The position is part-time and temporary, focusing on the wellness education needs of the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in health coaching, health promotion, health education, nursing, nutrition, or other health-related field, or counseling with related experience
• At least two years of health and wellness coaching experience
• Ability to manage confidential information and follow FERPA rules
• Excellent computer skills such as using Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, and internet navigation

Nice To Haves

• National board certification in Health and Wellness Coaching or in Nurse Health Coaching
• Knowledge of holistic health principles
• Prior program development, project management, and clinical research experience

Responsibilities

• Co-design a range of wellness programs and services for mental health patients engaged with UMN Psychiatry Services
• Develop and deliver wellness-related offerings such as health coaching groups and wellness education to Psychiatry Department faculty, staff, and trainees
• Co-design and teach the Integrative Psychiatry Course
