Lehman Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Wellness Center Assistant to join our team to create a welcoming atmosphere which leaves a memorable impression on new and current members.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older and must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and/or certification from a national organization is preferred.
• Previous fitness certification and experience with basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with wellness equipment, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Connect: Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.
• Support: Provide a level of service by connecting with members and their wellness goals, ensuring the safety of members using the facilities, and the ability to respond to emergencies.
• Motivate: Orient members with the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants to succeed in their wellness goals.
