About The Position

Overview: The role of Patient Ambassador is to maintain safety and provide exceptional service to patients requiring assistance with appointments throughout the hospital campus. Services: Safely assist patients/colleagues to and from their appointments, providing directions about campus facilities, and assistance with parking questions. Requirements

  • Provide exceptional service to patients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in English both verbally and written.
  • Able to bend and assist patients with getting in and out of wheelchairs following Lahey Mobile Transfer policies.
  • Able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk around the hospital to assist patients to appointments
  • Able to stand for several hours at a time when needed in order to assist patients.
  • Able to use the parking point of sale system (kiosk) to assist patients with parking tickets.
  • Able to perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the Ambassador Role.
  • Maintain all uniform and high appearance standards expected of all VPNE colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve, sanitize and manage wheelchair inventory
  • Assist patients with parking tickets
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the Ambassador Role
