About The Position

Using advanced technology, CRC's workforce focuses on safely and responsibly supplying affordable energy for California by Californians. The CRC Team is seeking to fill a Well Analyst position. The Well Analyst will be responsible for the overall optimization and coordination of artificial lift activities. Daily interaction with production team members to ensure production issues are identified and managed proactively. This position will be out of our Tupman, California office and is eligible for a 9/80 work schedule. The base annual salary for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $85K - $120K, with a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a team player, self-starting with good communication skills
• Good computer skills and willingness to learn new software and automation applications
• Strong decision-making abilities while under pressure
• Ability to read, speak and write English
• Excellent working knowledge of oilfield equipment operations and maintenance
• Basic analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot production equipment and well operations
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to keep neat and accurate records
• Working knowledge of CRC oil and gas production, operations, and safe work practices
• Ability to work overtime, weekends as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean DMV record

Nice To Haves

• High proficiency in computer applications including XSPOC
• Hands-on oil field experience in well or maintenance operations

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance of POCs, setup new POCs for operation, and ensure every well with a POC is properly configured to allow accurate downhole card analysis and is operating with no hardware defects
• Ensure accurate and timely well tests are obtained, validate all well tests & troubleshoot variances
• Direct field-based well failure activities, identify, validate, and react to well failures; write up pull tickets and work orders as necessary and work with Field Production Technicians to troubleshoot wells
• Responsible for coordinating artificial lift related field activities
• Monitor and correct down time as appropriate in XSPOC
• Execute displacement changes (SL, SPM) and identify downhole opportunity work
• Set, manage, and resolve well and hardware alarms
• Identify, investigate, and resolve production deviations
• Participate in operational planning meetings, attend well and pattern reviews, support engineering goals and directives
• Support injection and cyclic well operations
• Coordinate with RMT and Field Operations to ensure open communication and alignment across the business
