About The Position

Midwest Hose is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Weldmaster to join our Ducting Department. This role involves operating industrial welding equipment to fabricate, seal, and assemble flexible ducting products to precise specifications. Ideal candidates should have experience with heat sealing or RF welding machines or be mechanically inclined and willing to learn.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent reading and writing skills
  • Must be able to read English from printed list or hand-held monitor
  • Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. in adherence with Midwest Hose Safety Standards
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumes
  • Commitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received daily
  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
  • Prior warehouse experience (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience operating a weldmaster, RF welding, or similar industrial sealing equipment (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor weldmaster/heat sealing machines used in ducting production
  • Cut, align, and seal ducting materials according to production specifications
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure welds meet standards
  • Keep accurate records of materials used and products completed
  • Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned in the ducting department
