About The Position

The Welder position at Savard in Beaumont, TX, involves working with heat exchangers, vessels, and towers. The role requires a safety-minded individual who is highly productive and skilled in various welding processes. The welder will be responsible for cutting, fitting, and tack welding components while ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

• Must have 3 years' experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components in a fabrication shop.
• Moderate knowledge and ability to weld with some, but not all, of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW thermal processes.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fit, and tack weld parts of heat exchangers, vessels, and towers.
• Read and interpret prints for specifications and dimensions.
• Weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR.
• Utilize skills in arc gouging process.
• Maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate.
• Efficiently fix X-Ray and UT repairs.
• Recognize and rectify sub-standard welds to ensure product quality.

Benefits

• Pay range of $26.00 to $29.00 per hour.
• Potential earnings of up to $1595 with 50 hours/week.
