About The Position

Riverland Community College welcomes applications for the Welding Instructor from individuals who are passionate about helping students succeed. We are seeking an instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to make a difference in the lives of our students. The instructor will be assigned to teach in a traditional classroom and lab format. This is a part-time credit based position. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Diploma in Welding.
• Four (4) full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in welding.
• One year of work experience in welding within the five years immediately preceding the date of the application.

• Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Karen, Karenni, Somali, Pohnpeian, French, Nuer, Anuak, or other languages that reflect our student body.
• Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding courses in a traditional classroom and lab format.
• Develop and implement curriculum that meets educational standards.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with community partners to enhance educational offerings.
