About The Position

This position involves teaching courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Teaching assignments may include curriculum courses taught during days and evenings on campus as well as off-site. Qualified applicants must successfully complete welding performance tests in the SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes. Candidates must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.

Requirements

• Associate degree in welding technology or a closely related field plus related work experience
• High school diploma and five (5) years work experience including welding training and teaching theory and application of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, oxyacetylene cutting (OAC) and plasma-arc cutting (PAC) processes
• Must pass a welding skills test in all processes taught within the program
• Candidates with a high school diploma must complete an associate degree within two (2) years of hire

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in welding technology or a closely related field plus three (3) years work experience
• Practical knowledge and experience in all welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW including pulse-spray, and FCAW)
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
