About The Position
Conax Technologies is seeking a Welding Engineer to join our Engineering Team, where we have been providing engineering solutions for complex challenges for over 60 years. Our company specializes in compression seal fittings, temperature sensors, and custom solutions for various industries including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Semiconductor, and other Technology and Industrial marketplaces. As a Welding Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing operations, particularly in welding and brazing processes, assembly, and the overall manufacturing environment. This position emphasizes the importance of welding and manufacturing engineering in our daily operations and project-based support tailored to customer needs. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily welding operations by leveraging your technical engineering skills to analyze process efficiency, troubleshoot defects, perform quality control functions, and drive cost savings initiatives. You will evaluate, apply, and develop complex welding specifications in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing robust and repeatable joining procedures for high-precision components utilizing various welding technologies, including Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Laser Beam Welding (LBW), and Brazing. Maintaining weld qualification reports, weld procedure specifications, and work instructions will also be part of your responsibilities. Success in this position requires clear communication of technical details and the ability to provide training to operations teammates and customers as necessary.
