How you will make an impact: Product Development and Optimization: As a Welding Engineer at Miller Electric, you will focus on new product development and sustaining initiatives to provide optimum solutions utilizing tools such as oscilloscopes and PC-based software programs. Evaluate welding arc performance for industrial welding power supplies. Develop and Optimize welding arcs for GMAW, GMAW-P, GTAW, and SMAW processes. Develop welding related solutions for customer challenges and issues. Cross Functional Collaboration: Welding Engineers are heavily involved in all stages of New Product Development, sustaining initiatives, and customer support activities. Partner with various levels of the organization, including production, engineering, marketing, and leadership to identify, strategize, and bring to life the latest and greatest welding products to the market. Support cross-functional team members with advanced customer applications and technical challenges. Leads the development and optimization of welding processes, procedures and run customer samples, using various materials. Training customers in the use of new equipment, both in-house and in the field. Responsible for managing small-scale projects and provides coaching to less experienced engineers. Daily telephone support of applications and processes. Evaluates and implements new welding technologies and techniques. Measure and document process and performance characteristics using high speed photography, oscilloscopes and PC based software programs. Troubleshoot complex welding cells (secondary circuit, volt sense, cable management, etc.). What you need to do to be successful:
