About The Position

The Welder position at AAR Mobility Systems is responsible for supporting the assembly of rapid deployment equipment and mobile tactical shelters for military operations. This role requires compliance with safety standards, quality control, and effective teamwork to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of military equipment.

Requirements

• Certification in welding to American Welding Society standards.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Safety and quality conscious and oriented.
• Reliable and dependable work ethic.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the assembly of rapid deployment equipment, mobile tactical shelters, and air mobile containers.
• Comply with all requirements related to the wearing, care, and maintenance of required PPE.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards while being quality conscious.
• Comply with waste handling training and procedures.
• Perform TIG, MIG, and ARC welding as required.
• Troubleshoot potential machine/machining problems and assist with repairs.
• Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping using multiple processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
• Follow required work instructions, both verbal and written.
