The position involves practicing safe working habits and adhering to safety policies, procedures, and Job Safety Analysis. The role requires continuous improvement of product quality and performing welding tasks according to prescribed procedures. The individual will be responsible for positioning fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures, using turning rigs when necessary, and ensuring the high quality of the product while maintaining good safety habits. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities for the safety and training of others, compliance with documented procedures and the employee handbook, and the quality and quantity of the finished product. The individual will also be tasked with creating and maintaining a positive working team environment, maintaining good housekeeping, performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment, and ensuring safety, quality, and production with limited supervision. The position requires the ability to weld all products within the business unit and a willingness to cross-train and fill in as necessary in other departments. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Team Leader.
