ALCOM has experienced impressive growth due to a dedicated team focused on producing high-quality aluminum trailers across various categories. Starting with one facility in Winslow, Maine, the company has expanded to four manufacturing plants nationwide. This growth strengthens the dealer network, creates career opportunities, fosters innovation, and improves product delivery with faster turnaround times and lower freight costs. ALCOM manufactures over 160 standard trailer models, including cargo, personal watercraft (PWC), horse and livestock, car haulers, snowmobile, landscape and utility, ATV, and motorcycle trailers, and also customizes solutions for dealers. The Welder position involves performing Aluminum MIG Arc Welding (AMAW) on fixtures, parts, and ramps, with potential for some TIG welding. The successful candidate must be able to read blueprints, follow job orders, and learn specific welding techniques and procedures for aluminum trailers. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining setups, recognizing and ensuring the quality, tolerance, and accuracy of finished trailers, and visually detecting defects. The role receives supervision, inspection, and guidance on new tasks, procedural variations, and difficulties.
