About The Position

Welder--Set up and weld any production job with or without jigs using all weld processes and positions, operating both manual and automatic welding equipment. Does torch cutting as required. Slags own cutting and picks berries as required. Also does salvage welding as directed. Will straighten parts and prebow fabricated parts as required. Must pass appropriate weld test. Works from engineering drawings, shop prints, routings and procedure sheets. Responsible for quality of own work. Will work under supervision. Will train other operators as directed. Will stamp own work.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 year background in welding
• Ability to run multiple pass welds
• Weld in vertical up position
• Mig
• Torch cut
• Read blueprints
• Do own set-ups from prints and weld procedures
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Knowledge of metrics
