About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Welder to support the fabrication and assembly of aluminum components for our world-class offshore fishing catamarans. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision, quality, and exceptional workmanship.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG).
• Experience working with anodized aluminum pipe preferred.
• Prior marine welding or fabrication experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with standard hand and power tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG/GTAW welding and fabrication on aluminum parts and structures.
• Operate bending, cutting, and sanding equipment, including band saws, benders, and sanders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
• Inspect and verify welds to meet Freeman Boatworks’ quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
