About The Position

The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and repairs on aviation components in accordance with OEM technical publications, Unilode’s MOE (Maintenance Organisation Exposition), and industry regulations. This role ensures the structural integrity and serviceability of ULDs, pallets, and containers, supporting MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations to meet production targets while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Requirements

Certification in MIG/TIG welding (or equivalent qualification).
Welding experience, preferably in aviation, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
Ability to read technical drawings and work from engineering specifications.
Strong attention to detail, quality control, and process compliance.
Physically capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing weights exceeding 65 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform Welding and Structural Repairs Customer Focus, Collaborate Carry out MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication repairs on ULDs and pallets.
Ensure all welding work meets OEM specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Conduct inspections of repaired components, ensuring durability and quality compliance.
Maintain Compliance with Safety and Operational Standards Courage, Collaborate Follow approved welding procedures and safety protocols at all times.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of welding tools and equipment.
Identify and escalate any non-conforming materials or welding defects.
Support Workshop and Production Targets Ensure Accountability, Drive Results Meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining a high standard of work.
Accurately document work orders, material usage, and repair status.
Assist with other MRO activities, including general component repairs and maintenance.
