About The Position

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Welder to join our team at our Cleveland-Cliffs facility located in Middletown, OH . This individual will support General Managers and all contacts at client locations by performing essential welding and infrastructure repair duties. Success in this position means ensuring all work is completed in accordance with environmental, health and safety, company, and customer rules and regulations. Shift Details: Shift: 1st Schedule: 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of welding-related experience.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of all processes managed on the job site, including PPE, safety rules, policies, and procedures for the designated plant location.
• Ability to understand basic equipment operating instructions and safe work practices in written or verbal format.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and technical business procedures and customer requirements.
• Ability to calculate general figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentage, area, and volume.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a steel manufacturing or industrial plant setting.
• Experience climbing on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties outlined in Millwright responsibilities.
• Stick weld using 6010 & 7018 rod to repair infrastructure up to 1” thick.
• Read blueprints and fabricate parts from prints.
• Coordinate with site contacts to ensure all work meets plant and customer requirements.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
