Job Description Summary Performs work under close supervision. Uses Arc welder and electrode rods to perform tack and bead welds, and oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting metals. Operates hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metals together, and remove slag. Select proper electrodes and holders and regulates current and time. Role could be performed by an employee with a high school education plus a welding certification and several years of experience. Job Description • Follows all company safety rules and policies. • Uses electrical welding technique to weld parts of dishwasher models. • Checks specific component for proper dimensions and quality. • Reads shop blueprint drawings for weld specifications and job safety analysis work instructions to determine various parts to weld/install/assembly or by instructions of supervisor. • Inspects products and processes while performing job duties to ensure all work done meets or exceeds standards of the company’s quality program. • Works cooperatively and congenially with co-workers to achieve cohesive and productive work processes and work environment. • Performs additional tasks as assigned by management or as the situation requires (i.e. fabrication or assembly) • Daily inspection of welding PPE, inspect electrical and all gas connection (connectors, gas fitting, cables, hoses, and all watercooling systems) to insure welding machine or robots are in good condition for safe operation before use.
