Great Plains currently has an opening for a 2nd Shift Welder at the Salina Campus. This position is Monday through Thursday 4:30 pm to 3:00 am At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow. Requirements
- Understand team concept and be a strong team player
- High standard for quality and detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime
- Working knowledge of MIG welding operations
- Open to Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change
Responsibilities
- Able to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
- Operation of various welding robots
- Able to lift heavy parts throughout the shift
- Clean, repair and examine welds as needed
- Conduct quality checks throughout the shift
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment
