Position Summary: Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds. Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must be able to identify exact measurements on a tape measure
  • Must have at least 1 year welding experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
  • Minimum 1 year experience in welding
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Team orientation
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
  • Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
  • Planning work by interpreting blueprints
  • Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
  • Selecting and setting up welding equipment
  • Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
