Responsibilities: Weld code and non-code material for at least one process (FCAW, TIG, SAW, SMAW) Work from specifications, drawings, prints and welding symbols. Set up weldments for code and non-code material. Use hand-operated power tools including grinders, bevellers, and buffers. Maintain good general housekeeping duties. Perform small jobs for maintenance department. Qualifications: Education: High school graduate or GED; Technical Welder Degree Preferred. Equivalent experience considered at discretion of management. Ability to transfer between work centers to manufacture varying products as required. Ability to read and interpret complex drawings. Flame cut various parts and materials with manual and automated cutting equipment. Welding experience including Code Work preferred. The skill level to pass an ASME 6G pipe test is considered as a level of ability required for this position (except for Sub-Arc) Special Dimensions: Exposed to occupational and environmental risks part of a normal workday. Physical Requirements Work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring awkward stances and positions for periods of time throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.
