Job Responsibilities Work in coordination with the Manager and other coworkers to ensure that all jobs are welded to the specifications of each job and meets the outlined requirements.

  • Operating equipment using safe work habits.
  • Inspect welds and work pieces to acceptance of the standard they are working to.
  • Measure work pieces with straight edges, tape measure, scale, or templates to ensure proper fit.
  • Weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, invar or other specified alloys per their qualifications and the applicable WPS.
  • Clamping, holding, tack-welding, bracing, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes / hi-lo
  • Able to read drawings and weld symbols
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by adhering to required documentation and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High school diploma/GED, certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
