About The Position
RESPONSIBILITIES Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality Perform all position welding following prescribed procedures Must be able to position fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures and use turning rigs when necessary Responsible for the high quality of product and good safety habits Responsible for the safety and training of others Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and employee handbook Responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product Responsible for creating and maintaining a working team environment Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment Responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision Be able and required to weld all products within the business unit Must be willing to cross train and fill in as necessary in other departments Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Team Leader QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 1 year welding experience. Be able to read assemblies, and welds from blueprints. Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage Must be able to read a tape measure and be trained to operate overhead crane
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year welding experience.
- Be able to read assemblies, and welds from blueprints.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
