About The Position

3rdShift - 10:30pm-7am Starting hourly rate: $18.00 + $2.70 Shift Differential = $20.70 per hour Piece Rate Production Bonuses! Quarterly Profit Sharing! Medical Benefits at 30 days! Job Description Reports to: Production Supervisor Job Purpose: Primary responsibility is operating MIG welders, but operators may be rotated through other manufacturing processes to support the production schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • 1 years minimum verifiable welding experience and/or Technical Diploma
  • Must have experience Mig welding Steel
  • Ability to perform standard shop computations (math)
  • Ability to read schematics (blue prints) and engineering drawings
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance of equipment
  • Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments as well as work within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on a variety of metals is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade
  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
  • Weld separately or in combination
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. to move raw material and parts as needed
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
  • Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards
