Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Sr. Welder to join our staff located at Artesia, New Mexico. They must be able to perform high-quality welds on carbon steel, low alloy, and stainless steel. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Experience– 5 years of Journeyman level experience Welders
• Must pass mechanical testing as part of the qualification process
• Must pass TIG 6G weld test
• Ability to handle complex, multi-position welds.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding fast paced work environment.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights over 100 feet
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must Pass Tig 6G Weld Test
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass background, comprehensive physical, including a drug screen and safety training
• Meet physical demands as listed above
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
• Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment
• Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment including plasma and air arc cutting machines
• Lay out and fabricate piping systems
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet project goals
• Weld pipe fixed at a 45-degree angle working in all positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
• Other duties as assigned.
