Requirements

2+ years' experience operating as a construction/bridge welder.
Current and valid certification for ¾” and lower required.
Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedure.
Must pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening.
Valid drivers license with clean driving record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 5 years.) preferred.
Applicants must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis in order to be considered.

Nice To Haves

AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certification preferred, or the practical field knowledge to obtain certificates.
Valid drivers license with clean driving record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 5 years.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Operator angle grinders and other small tools to prepare parts for welding.
Read and interpret standard welding notations.
Select proper materials, measure and cut to specifications.
Field - Field install welds, including weld pile, bearings, SIP decking and other bridge structural elements.
Shop – Fabricate and repair buckets, blades, trench boxes, vehicle parts, and specialized tools.
Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions.
Coordinate with field and/or shop for required schedule of repairs.
Operator welding truck and maintains the materials, tools and equipment on the truck.
