Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education with two (2) years of specialized technical training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Previous welding experience or equivalent training in welding equipment and technology with rig experience being helpful.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled in SMAW and oxy-accetelone.
  • GMAW helpful.
  • CAC-A helpful.
  • Ability to work alone and with other personnel.
  • Ability to do pipe layout and weld high-pressure pipe.

Responsibilities

  • Read shop drawings; fabricate accordingly.
  • Weld structural steel and pipe in all positions with SMAW.
  • Proficient in cutting and welding with oxy-accetelone.
  • Shop and fieldwork involved.
