About The Position

Temp Welders (Production)– Piedmont, SC – Immediate NEEDS 2 nd Shift - 2:30pm – 11pm (M-F) – Pay is $19.50; MUST be willing to work overtime Pay: $19.50 Interested candidates MUST have welding helmet/Steel Toed Shoes and be willing to take welding TEST . Pass 10 Panel Drug TEST Welder I Entry level Welder II 3-5 years of relevant work experience Line Leader Basic Trouble Shooting Welder III 5 years or more of relevant work experience Line Leader Ability to build from print, build fixtures without assistance Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. 2. Ability to STOP-THINK-ACT and work safely. 3. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business. 4. Ability to work on a rotating shift. 5. Ability to work rotating job stations. 6. Ability to effectively work in teams. 7. Ability to professionally accept constructive feedback and criticism. 8. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people. 9. Ability to pass MIG welding test. 10. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles. 11. Ability to operate hand tools. 12. Knowledge of lock out tag out procedures. Responsibilities: Join, fabricate and repair metal and other welding material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices.

Responsibilities

  • Join, fabricate and repair metal and other welding material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
  • Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.
  • Start up and shut down machines properly.
  • Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standards of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization.
  • Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine/rack -related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
  • Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
  • Contribute to a team effort.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned
